EXUS is seeking a Head of Data Engineering to lead the strategic direction, architecture, and delivery of our data engineering function. This role is responsible for building and scaling a robust data platform designed to support business intelligence, analytics, product development, and operational excellence across the organization.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership capability, driving the design and operation of modern data pipelines and platforms with a focus on ClickHouse or other relevant tool, Apache Airflow, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, and cloud infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the Head of Data Engineering will ensure that data assets are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the data engineering strategy, roadmap, and architecture
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing data engineering team
  • Oversee the design and operation of scalable data pipelines and platform services
  • Ensure high standards in data reliability, observability, governance, and performance
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver trusted data capabilities
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.
  • Significant experience in data engineering and platform architecture, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing engineering teams
  • Strong hands-on expertise with ClickHouse (or similar tools), Apache Airflow, SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT practices.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms and engineering best practices
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills
