THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Supply Chain Intern atĀ Chipotle Mexican Grill, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced supply chain professionals and contribute toĀ providing āFood with Integrity.āĀ This internship will provide you with valuable insights intoĀ theĀ supply chain operationsĀ inĀ aĀ rapidly expandingĀ and dynamicĀ food service company. You will be an integral part of our team and haveĀ exposure to the various aspects of supply chain planning,Ā procurement,Ā andĀ logistics, whichĀ ultimately willĀ drive resultsĀ thatĀ impactĀ CMGās bottom line.Ā Ā Ā

WhatĀ YouāllĀ Do:Ā Ā
Understanding Supply Chain Operations: Learn how supply chainsĀ operateĀ within our organization, gaining insights into procurement, planning,Ā logistics, and distribution processes.Ā
Relationship Building: Develop the skills to build andĀ maintainĀ positive relationships with existing suppliers/carriers/distributors to ensure favorable pricing, andĀ consistentĀ quality, and production capacities.Ā
Market Research: Learn how to conduct research and in-depth analyses on commodities and product categories within our supply chain,Ā identifyingĀ market trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential opportunities or risks.Ā
Negotiation Practice: Gain hands-on experience in negotiation, learning negotiation strategies and techniques to secure favorable terms and pricing.Ā
KPI Tracking & Analysis: Learn how toĀ monitor, assess, andĀ optimizeĀ supplier/carrier/distributor performance,Ā utilizingĀ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a primary tool for evaluation.Ā
Collaboration: Learn to work effectively in cross-functional teams, supporting a cohesive supply chain.Ā
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Strengthen problem-solving skills to address challenges and bottlenecks in supply chains.Ā
Project Management:Ā ParticipateĀ in projects aimed at streamlining supply chain processes and enhancing overall efficiency.Ā
Ā
WhatĀ YouāllĀ Bring to the Table:Ā
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ā required.Ā
Currently enrolled in aĀ bachelor'sĀ or masterāsĀ program in supply chain management, business, orĀ a relatedĀ field.Ā
Able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.Ā
Enthusiastic about the food industry andĀ learning more about supplyĀ chain.Ā
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ā
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ā
Detail-oriented and able to handle data accurately.Ā
ProficiencyĀ in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ā
Prior internship experience is a plus.Ā
Experience in Tableau / Power BI isĀ a plus.Ā
PAY TRANSPARENCYĀ
Pay rate is $25 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/ orĀ education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.Ā
