Job Function

The Maintenance Technician – Preventative Maintenance Tech will be responsible for the lubrication, inspection, and basic maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment, including dust collector preventive maintenance tasks. This role supports the facility’s preventive maintenance efforts and contributes to the longevity and efficiency of critical assets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled lubrication of machinery (bearings, gears, chains, etc.)

  • Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, and contamination

  • Maintain accurate lubrication records and logs

  • Collect and analyze oil samples for condition monitoring

  • Replace filters, top off fluids, and clean lubrication points

  • Assist the maintenance team with minor mechanical repairs

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of lubricants

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations

  • All other duties as assigned

  • Daily Tasks

    • Review lubrication schedule and prioritize critical equipment

    • Inspect lubrication points for leaks or contamination

    • Top off oil reservoirs and grease fittings

    • Record all lubrication activities in CMMS or logbook

    • Report any abnormal equipment conditions

  • Weekly Tasks

    • Perform oil sampling and send for analysis as needed.

    • Check and change gearbox oil as needed.

    • Replace filters and clean breathers

    • Inspect and clean automatic lubrication systems

    • Refill bulk lubricant containers

    • Review oil analysis reports and flag issues

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

  • Knowledge of lubrication systems and industrial equipment

  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills for logging and reporting

Pay Rate

  • $25.00 per hour
