What You Will Contribute:
 

You will support customers and internal stakeholders on Badger Meter’s Flow Instrumentation products by providing customer technical support, assisting on sales quotations, and enhancing the knowledge base for this product line within the company.

Job Duties:

  • Achieve and maintain a deep technical understanding of the product lines, capabilities, and applicability into different customer applications.

  • Presale and post-sale technical sales support mainly via telephone and e-mail.

  • Using software and other tools, assist customers into the most suitable products by providing sizing and other relevant technical data.

  • Review the technical aspects and documentation requirements and coordinate and provide these elements for major project quotations.

  • Act as an internal escalation point for advanced customer related issues.

  • Provide product training to internal staff and to external customers and reps as requested.

  • Process Return Material Authorizations (RMA) for warranty, repair and/or calibration for engineered products and applications. 

  • Work with other departments (Marketing, Engineering) on certain projects such as specification review, selection of product accessories, setting priorities for product testing, and enhancements to our software tools and systems.

  • Complete all engineered product cases in Salesforce for quoting, order entry and returns.  

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required

  • 3+ years of related experience in a technical field or sales preferred

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required

  • Experience managing projects preferred

  • Knowledge of theory and application of flow meters preferred

  • Knowledge of chem/petrochem market preferred

  • Intermediate understanding of fluid dynamics (flow, pressure, temperature, cavitation, etc) preferred

  • Salesforce proficiency preferred 

  • Slack proficiency preferred 

  • AI tools/ AI-enabled workflows experience preferred
