Extruder Operator

Seda North America is seeking an Extrusion Line Operator- Night Shift to join our team!  If you have 3+ years experience in the operating extrusion lines in the plastics industry, apply here!

$1,500 Sign on Bonus! Shift premium +$2.00/hr. Rotating schedule working 12-hour shifts from 7pm-7am. Must train on 1st shift. Pay based on experience!

 Specific Duties:

• Operate extrusion equipment to create plastic sheets
• Set up machine with proper materials based on recipe
• Verify parameters meet customer specifications; adjust if necessary
• Monitor machine to observe color, light and gauges to detect malfunctions
• Perform quality checks regularly
• Assist Thermoforming department as needed
• Assist with tooling prep and change overs

Qualifications/ Physical Demands

• Must have prior experience in thermoplastics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages
• HS Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or other certification a plus
• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted and remain on feet standing and walking for 8-hour shift
