SUMMARYĀ Ā
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent responsible for providing coordination and supervision of sub-contractors and craft team members within a particular construction discipline.Ā
Ā
RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
Manage project labor (craft labor, subcontractors)Ā
Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reportsĀ
Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft rolesĀ
Participate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetingsĀ
Coordinate review and approval of craft worker timecardsĀ
Participate in hire and dismissal process of craft workersĀ
Coordinate on-site operations/Scope of Work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule)Ā
Provide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project closeout/demobilizationĀ
Support and participate with Project Managers on schedule development and updatesĀ
Coordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment, i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, Conexus, etc.Ā
Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of workĀ
Manage scope(s) of work Production and Innovation BoardsĀ
Manage scope(s) of work Plan of Day (POD) activitiesĀ
Support Safety Manager and/or Engineer with site safety audits, worker to worker observations, etc.Ā
Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractorsā workĀ
Responsible for the orientation, training, and timely performance evaluation of craft workers, including performance management process if necessaryĀ

QUALIFICATIONSĀ
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experienceĀ
Minimum 3 years construction management or related experienceĀ
Current driver's licenseĀ
Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferredĀ
Electrical circuitry qualified or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers, if necessaryĀ
Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projectsĀ
Organize and manage multiple project tasksĀ
Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesĀ
Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skillsĀ
Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skillsĀ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesĀ
Active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedbackĀ
Ability to travel up to 100%Ā

The base pay range for this role is $95,700 - $129,200. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL ā 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR ā 10%, Washington, D.C. ā 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualās knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā This position is eligible for Mortensonās incentive plan.Ā
