SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager I to lead and manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects or MEP scopes on medium to large projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, potentially overseeing multiple projects, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service.Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Manage overall project financial health, including projections, budgeting, and invoicingÂ
Oversee subcontractor and supplier selections, billings, and contract managementÂ
Direct 3-D coordination and commissioning processes, ensuring conflict resolution and testingÂ
Lead project closeout activities, including manuals, model turnover, and trainingÂ
Supervise and develop Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)Â
Serve as main contact for owner, resolving site concerns and building relationshipsÂ
Manage change orders and obtain necessary approvalsÂ
Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance throughout the projectÂ
Â
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experienceÂ
Basic understanding of construction law and business practicesÂ
Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackÂ
Ability to travel up to 100%Â

Minimum eight years construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorÂ
Current driver’s licenseÂ

The base pay range for this role is $144,300 - $216,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
