Our client, a leading global specialty chemicals company, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist its executives in hiring a sophisticated attorney to serve as Global Employment Counsel. This role will be located in the Company’s U.S. headquarters in Radnor, PA, with 5x per week in office required. This attorney will serve a critical role in supporting the company and its global parent with various legal issues focusing on employment and labor law matters.  The Global Employment Counsel will manage sophisticated legal matters while interacting with senior business leadership and managers around the company. This role will report to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Company’s global teams and the legal department on a variety of employment-related legal matters critical to achieving strategic objectives, including:
  • Advising on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, with an emphasis on US employment and labor law, while including other global jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Providing guidance on labor relations, including negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and dispute resolution.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related agreements, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and separation agreements.
  • Assisting with employee relations issues, including investigations, and assisting the Chief Compliance Officer with management of compliance investigations and hotline reporting, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of company-wide employment policies and training programs.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks associated with employment practices, implementing proactive strategies and best practices.


Education & Experience
  • Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. or equivalent degree from a well-respected U.S. law school.
  • License to practice in at least one state.
  • 6 - 10+ years relevant working experience, with strong training at an international law firm. Prior in-house experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. federal and state employment laws. International experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to navigate a range of complex employment related legal issues.
  • Proactive and strategic with substantial experience in employment law.
