ROLE SUMMARY:Â
Â
The successful candidate will be responsible for:Â
Setup and operation of manual and/or CNC machining equipmentÂ
Ability to make program edits at the machine for CNC equipmentÂ
Machining of components to meet print dimensions and tolerancesÂ
Accurate parts measurement using tools such as, but not limited toÂ
Outside micrometerÂ
Inside micrometerÂ
Depth micrometerÂ
Digital, dial and vernier calipersÂ
Scales Â
Maintaining an organized and safe work environment and help to drive improvements in the work center that will lead to increases in safety and efficiencyÂ
Accurately completing all paperwork associated with tasks being performedÂ
Keeping up to date with all required trainings Â
Working on a variety of parts and processes and may work across multiple machinesÂ
Can resolve most problems and questions within a defined set of parametersÂ
May provide guidance to lower-level employeesÂ

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Â
Typically, 3 – 5 years’ experience doing similar workÂ
Understands and buys into a zero-accident safety culture expectationÂ
Strong shop math skills including arithmetic, conversion of fractions to decimals, basic trigonometryÂ
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/production drawings including tolerancingÂ
For CNC machines, a strong understanding of G-code and / or conversational programmingÂ
Knowledge of fixturing and safe / effective work holdingÂ

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Â Â
Experience working with cast materialsÂ
Experience with basic rigging and use of overhead cranesÂ
Firm understanding of turning and milling insert geometries and gradesÂ
Understanding of basic cut conditions including appropriate feeds, speeds and depths of cutÂ
Previous experience machining stainless alloysÂ

SITE SPECIFIC DETAILSÂ
First shift positions Monday thru Friday, 06:30-1500Â Â
Second shift hours Monday thru Friday, 14:45-23:15Â
Overtime as required (required overtime will have 36-hour notice)Â
