Line Cook (Full Time)

Job Description

Our Cooks @ Magnolia Glen provide the highest quality/presentation food to our residents, guests, and associates, to promote an excellent restaurant-style dining atmosphere.

Full Time: Shifts will vary between 6:30am & 7pm

(2 days off a week)

Pay Rate $19.00/hr - $21.50/hr (depending on experience)

What will I do every day?

• Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine
• Cook according to menus, production sheet and recipes with consideration 
• Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner
• Deliver all invoices to Dining Services Director in a timely fashion
• Maintain records or meals served and records of food and supplies used as required

Qualifications and Skills:

Education/Experience:

• High school graduate preferred
• Minimum 5 years of cooking experience required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to fully support kitchen brigade associates
• Demonstrates understanding of Mise en Place through proper placement and preparation of ingredients

Special Requirements/Certifications:

• Must have Food Handler’s certification as required or being willing to obtain one.
