The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction, purchasing and contracting for goods and services, maintaining facilities, managing state vehicles, acquiring and disposing of real property, and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally, the department manages many of the state's advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the state's population that have been traditionally underserved.
Description of Work
The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for an HVAC Technician for our Facility Management division. The primary mission of Facility Management is to provide a safe and healthful work environment for employees and the public in a cost effective and energy efficient manner. This mission is accomplished by performing routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance to state facilities owned by and allocated to the Department of Administration.Key Responsibilities:
•Ability to install plumbing systems per plans and specifications
•Ability to diagnose and make repairs to malfunctioning plumbing systems, fixtures and components
•Ability to test and repair backflow systems (certification required or the ability to obtain in one year)

Recruitment Range: $39,244-$48,604

Ability to install plumbing systems per plans and specifications
Ability to diagnose and make repairs to malfunctioning plumbing systems, fixtures and components
Ability to use the tools and test equipment commonly used in Plumbing
Working knowledge of State and local plumbing codes
Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of building hot and cold-water systems, irrigation systems and drainage systems.
MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES:
Division prefers applicants with at least (5) years of progressive experience in industrial/commercial Plumbing
