Principal Data Architect - Data Platforms

We are seeking a visionary Principal Data Architect to lead our data architecture strategy with a focus on data platforms. This role will serve as a bridge between cutting-edge technologies and enterprise-scale data capabilities, enabling the responsible adoption of cloud data platforms and acceleration of next-gen data products. The successful candidate will drive architectural decisions that support experimentation, scalability, and business transformation.

Strategic Data Leadership

• Define and drive the long-term data architecture vision for the organization
• Lead digital transformation initiatives centered around data and analytics
• Align data architecture strategies with business objectives and technological innovations
• Provide expert guidance on complex, enterprise-wide data challenges

Innovation and Research

• Spearhead research initiatives in emerging data technologies and architectural paradigms
• Develop proof-of-concepts for cutting-edge data solutions
• Collaborate with academic institutions and technology partners on advanced data concepts
• Drive the adoption of next-generation data architectures within the industry

Enterprise Data Governance and Strategy

• Shape enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards
• Develop strategies for managing data as a strategic asset
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across the organization
• Ensure alignment of data architecture practices with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Thought Leadership and Industry Influence

• Represent the organization at high-profile industry events and conferences
• Publish articles, whitepapers, or books on advanced data architecture concepts
• Participate in industry standards committees and professional organizations
• Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and industry leaders

Mentorship and Organizational Development

• Mentor senior data professionals and develop the next generation of data leaders
• Provide expert consultation to executive leadership on data-related decisions
• Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in data management practices
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across the organization

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture or engineering, with a strong focus on data platforms and MDM implementation or 14+ years of experience with a high school diploma or GED
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale data systems in cloud-native environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
