Principal Objectives:
- Lead RDC's Dream Center Discipleship Recovery Program to ensure program participants have a healthy environment to grow in their faith and experience victory over addiction.Â
- Scale and build the program to accommodate the growing needs of the ministry, and to support the overall vision of operating a fully functioning Dream Center facility with the potential of having participants in dorm style housing.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily program and manage all details relating to the DCD program. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Classroom material (curriculum, Bible study tools, 12 step studies, etc…)
- Managing the physical needs of the disciples (food, clothing, transportation, etc…)
- Overseeing weekly/monthly schedules for the program including class time, chapels, service opportunities, meals, outings, personal development, health habits.Â
- Develop a 2nd and 3rd year options for additional support for graduates of the Discipleship program who would benefit from additional support.Â
- Work closely with Executive Director on strategic planning, helping develop quarterly and annual goals to achieve the vision. This includes managing the staff within your department and keeping them accountable to achieving the goals.Â
- Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the Executive Director and Board of Directors for review and approval, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Evaluate progress against goals (VTO) for the organization. This includes projecting growth for supplies, staffing needs, vehicles needed, and more.
- Prepare monthly ministry reports for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership, as well as stewardship of RDC by being actively involved and aware of all activities within the DCD program.Â
- Communicate regularly with your program coordinators and support staff on expectations and tasks and give them opportunities to give feedback on operations.
- Lead a weekly department meeting and give quarterly and yearly performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Actively pursue external partnerships to provide additional resources for the support of the program.Â
- Help develop and implement the use of communication and task management software (Slack, Asana, Mission Tracker, etc). Work with your staff to maximize the use of these tools to benefit the organization.
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend staff outings, events and training as needed.
- Be the “promoter and educator” of DCD to the public and potential partners.
- Assist any staff with tasks as needed that are not unethical or unbiblical, with a servant’s heart and an attitude that promotes unity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in working with people in active recovery or in trauma informed care.
- Previous experience in managing departmental staff.
- Previous experience in leading in a spiritual capacity (discipleship leader, church staff, deacon, elder or pastor).
- Education and/or certification in recovery support is a plus.
- The ideal candidate for this position must be a servant leader, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to interact appropriately and professionally with men and women who are working on their recovery.
- Candidates must also be able to effectively handle emergency/crisis situations as they arise.
