The Senior Corporate Development Analyst plays a key role in evaluating and executing growth initiatives across acquisitions, physician partnerships, joint ventures, and de novo market expansion. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, this role combines strong financial modeling expertise, strategic analysis, and cross-functional coordination to evaluate opportunities that drive enterprise value.

This position supports transaction execution from initial screening through due diligence and post-close integration, assists with market planning for de novo development, and collaborates closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and executive leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Valuation

  • Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and refine complex financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, NPV, IRR, precedent transactions, and trading comps) to evaluate prospective acquisitions, joint ventures, and de novo market expansions.
  • Scenario & Risk Analysis: Evaluate project economics across multiple operating, reimbursement, and volume scenarios for both acquisitions and de novo developments, challenging assumptions and highlighting potential risks to balance strategic and financial objectives.
  • Standardization: Maintain and optimize standardized financial modeling templates, valuation frameworks, and ramp assumptions for ongoing transaction evaluations and de novo site builds.

Transaction Support & Due Diligence

  • Due Diligence Support: Assist in managing multidisciplinary due diligence processes across financial, legal, operational, HR, and strategic workstreams for acquisitions, joint ventures, and de novo projects alongside internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Pitch & Partner Presentations: Support the development of high-impact pitch decks and presentation materials to support strategic discussions with potential acquisition targets, physician groups, and prospective health system joint venture partners.
  • Pipeline & Target Research: Track acquisition and de novo expansion pipelines, conduct initial market and target research, and maintain open-item logs and virtual data rooms during active transaction reviews.
  • Transaction Execution: Assist senior leadership with deal structuring schedules, financial schedule verification, and documentation gathering across acquisitions and strategic partnership opportunities.

Market & De Novo Strategy

  • Market & Referral Analysis: Partner with Division Operations and Sales teams to perform market assessments incorporating physician referral dynamics, competitive positioning, demographic trends, and payer access.
  • De Novo Site Prioritization: Develop volume capture models and ramp assumptions to help prioritize de novo expansion opportunities based on projected strategic and financial returns.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and service line demand to synthesize actionable insights for senior leadership.

Investment Materials & Portfolio Analytics

  • Decision Materials: Draft investment memoranda, business cases, pipeline updates, and executive presentations for the Investment Committee, Board, and senior leadership.
  • Post-Close Performance Tracking: Monitor actual transaction and de novo performance against original investment thesis models, assisting with post-merger integration handoffs and milestone tracking.
  • Analytics & Dashboards: Maintain business development analytics and build dashboards to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related business field required.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, M&A, or Business Development.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated experience supporting healthcare transactions, financial evaluations, or de novo site development from analysis through close.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Financial Modeling: Advanced proficiency in Excel, 3-statement financial modeling, and valuation techniques (DCF, IRR, comps).
  • Healthcare Acumen: Solid understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, outpatient service models, and reimbursement dynamics preferred.
  • Project & Diligence Support: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to track multiple workstreams and coordinate cross-functionally.
  • Communication & Discretion: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience drafting high-impact presentations for leadership, combined with strict discretion regarding confidential information.
