The Sous Chef at The Cardinal at North Hills partners with the Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations and create an exceptional restaurant-style dining experience for residents and guests at The Cardinal at North Hills. This hands-on leadership role oversees food preparation, staff development, quality assurance, and food safety compliance while ensuring every meal reflects the community’s commitment to excellence, hospitality, and resident satisfaction.

Schedule: Full Time | Monday – Friday – rotating weekendsPay Range: $25.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. based on experience*

What will I do every day?
- Lead daily kitchen operations and food production.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor culinary associates.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Assist with menu execution, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and cost control.
- Support catering, special events, and multiple dining venues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

What will I need to be successful in this role?
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary experience, including leadership in upscale restaurants, hotels, country clubs, or senior living communities.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing culinary teams.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
- Culinary degree preferred.
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification required.
