Job DetailsJob Location: Capital Hills Campus - Raleigh, NC 27616Position Type: Part TimeSummary of Position The Operations Associate ensures the Capital Hills Campus is clean, organized, secure, and fully ready to support weekend services, ministry activities, and special events. Serving as the primary on-site point of contact for campus operations, this role coordinates facility logistics, oversees custodial quality, manages campus scheduling, and maintains relationships with campus partners and vendors. Working closely with campus ministry leaders and Central Support teams (Events, Facilities, Security, IT and Production) the Operations Associate helps create a building environment where ministry can thrive without operational distraction.   Qualifications and Requirements Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to coordinate projects and communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors, and ministry partners. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, and performing manual tasks as needed. Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.); quick learner with new technology (Planning Center and Rock RMS experience preferred). Member of The Summit Church, or willing and able to become a member ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Campus Operations Coordinate with Central Facilities, Security, and Production to resolve building-related issues. Coordinate facility and environment operations (HVAC schedules, door schedules, maintenance requests, furniture, equipment, and shared resources). Provide quality assurance for custodial staff; address cleaning issues. Collaborate with the Director of Security and campus Safety & Security Associate to ensure all doors, locks, and security measures function properly, and the campus remains secure Event & Logistics Coordination Coordinate facility logistics, room setups, scheduling, and operational details for internal ministry events, conferences, and special events.. Manage the campus relationship with Heritage Leadership Academy (HLA), including room scheduling, resource coordination, and ongoing operational communication. Support external events hosted at the Capital Hills campus by serving as the operational liaison for logistics, facility readiness, and communication. Coordinate with campus ministries and Central Events to ensure spaces are prepared and operational needs are communicated in advance. Campus Coordination & Communication Review the campus calendar and proactively identify scheduling conflicts, facility needs, and operational considerations. Partner with campus ministry leaders to coordinate room usage, campus logistics, and event readiness. Participate in bi-weekly Capital Hills staff meetings to communicate operational updates and stay aligned with ministry priorities. Build collaborative relationships with Central Support teams to ensure campus operations effectively support ministry. Churchwide Events The hours for this position are expected to be 20 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.  Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
