Occupational Therapist

Carolina School Services is hiring an Evaluating OT to support school-based OT evaluations and screenings across Raleigh and surrounding communities. This is an as-needed role to assist with evaluations at various school sites.

Schedule & Location

• PRN / As-needed, based on evaluation needs
• Travel required: driving up to 1 hour to school sites
• Evaluations must be completed on-site; all additional paperwork can be completed from home

Pay: 

• $55–$65/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students' functional abilities using standardized tests, observations, and interviews.
• Develop comprehensive reports that highlight strengths, barriers, and therapy needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to help create or revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Design and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual perceptual and cognitive skills, as well as self-care and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to seamlessly integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
• Recommend modifications to the school environment to enhance accessibility for all students.
• Ensure compliance with IEP goals and legal requirements.
• Contribute to annual IEP reviews and triennial re-evaluations with enthusiasm!

Required Skills:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of standardized testing and assessment tools.
