Job Summary
The Put Away Specialist is responsible for accurately organizing and storing incoming inventory within the warehouse. This entry-level role ensures products are placed in the correct bins, shelves, or storage areas using barcode scanning equipment and warehouse vehicles such as reach trucks.
Essential Responsibilities
Receive and scan incoming stock to confirm delivery and product accuracy.
Place products into assigned inventory locations based on product type and rotation requirements.
Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks to transport materials safely.
Update inventory systems through scanner-based or manual entry.
Label and organize inventory according to company standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to warehouse leadership.
Follow all safety and operational procedures when operating equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to operate or willingness to learn warehouse equipment like reach trucks.
Basic knowledge of barcode scanners and inventory systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
Physical & Work Environment
Regularly lift, carry, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks.
Stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift.
Work in warehouse conditions with variable temperatures and noise.
