About the Job
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to a sanitary environment will directly impact the well-being of our patients, clients, and staff. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Responsibilities
⢠Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
⢠Provide laundry services to support hospital operations
⢠Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital
⢠Handle trash and waste disposal in accordance with safety protocols
⢠Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
⢠Report maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, lighting, or equipment to the appropriate personnel
⢠Follow hospital safety standards and OSHA guidelines for infection control and sanitation
⢠Use and maintain cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops, and floor care machines
⢠Adhere to Mount Laurel Animal Hospitalās Be EPIC core values
⢠Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
⢠High school diploma or equivalent
⢠Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work
⢠Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team
⢠Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
⢠Strong attention to detail and time management skills
⢠Must be able to work safely and responsibly with cleaning equipment and products
Preferred:
⢠Experience in a fast-paced environment
⢠Familiarity with infection control and sanitation best practices
⢠Ability to operate and maintain floor buffers and carpet cleaners
⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
⢠This job is physically demanding and requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting
⢠Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
⢠Ability to safely use step stools and ladders when needed
⢠Must have sufficient mobility and stamina to work throughout the facility and grounds
