About the Job
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Veterinarian who has excellent clinical and communication skills and exemplifies our Core Values (BE EPIC).  We Believe in Empathy, Empowerment, Professionalism, Integrity, and Collaboration) for our Rehabilitation Department.  The ideal candidate would be board-certified or board-eligible in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and/or certified in Rehabilitation (CCRV, CCRP, CERPV).  As a privately owned, non-corporate Emergency, Specialty, and Primary Care veterinary hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care with empathy, teamwork, and clinical excellence while fostering a positive and supportive workplace.  This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to practice cutting-edge medicine with access to advanced diagnostics and treatments while designing and driving the growth of our Rehabilitation Department from a part-time to full-time service and collaborating with veterinary specialists in a variety of disciplines. Our comprehensive network of departments includes Anesthesiology, Behavioral Medicine, Clinical Pathology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Exotics, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Primary Care, Rehabilitation, and Specialty Surgery. 
Responsibilities
• Provide a multimodal approach to diagnosis and treatment of patients with injury or illness related to the neurologic and musculoskeletal systems  
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnostic findings, treatment options, prognosis expectations, financial expectations, and at home care for their pet’s medical condition  
• Collaborate with a skilled support team of technicians, assistants, and front desk staff within and outside of the Rehabilitation Department 
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records and treatment plans 
• Provide CE for doctors and staff regarding behavioral management of patients and safe handling practices 
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records and treatment plans 
• Participation in departmental and hospital meetings, rounds and case discussions  
• Mentor Veterinary Interns and Veterinary Student Externs as assigned 
• Support our culture of teaching, learning, mentorship, and teamwork 

Qualifications:
• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution 
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey 
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
• At least 2 years’ experience practicing Rehabilitation Medicine 
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a busy clinical setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Passion for client education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing rehabilitation and sports medicine

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation 
• Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinarian (CCRV) 
• Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) 
• Certified Rehabilitation & Performance Medicine Veterinarian (CERPV)
