Job Summary: A Die Cutter Operator is responsible for programming and setting up the die cutter with correct die, stripping and blanking, tooling, operating the machine, performing routine maintenance on the machine, and troubleshooting any issues. The die cutter operator will also perform quality checks to ensure the customer specifications are being met. This position works 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday; 1:45pm-11:45pm.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on die cutting equipment 
  • Read, interpret, and follow job tickets, work orders, and customer specifications 
  • Perform quality checks and continuously monitor machine operations to identify defects or malfunctions 
  • Make precise adjustments and fine-tune equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications 
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including job time tracking and quantities produced 
  • Communicate effectively with Production Leadership regarding job status, issues, and performance
  •  Collaborate with team members and assist co-workers as needed to support production efficiency 
  •  Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies at all times 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • 3- 5 years experience operating a die cutter (Brausse, Bobst, Sanwa, Kluge, Heidelberg) 
  • Prior experience with set-up, operation, and maintenance of die cutting machinery
  • Experience working with dies, plates, stripping, blanking, and tooling setups
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production specifications
  • Skilled in performing machine adjustments and fine-tuning to meet quality standards 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to support production and measurement tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards 
  • Ability to perform continuous quality checks during production runs
  • Understanding of production efficiency and minimizing downtime
  •  Strong communication skills with Production Leadership and team members 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment 
  • Willingness to assist co-workers to support overall production goals
  •  Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated 
  • Commitment to workplace safety rules, regulations, and company policies 
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed to support business needs
