Position Summary
The Production Supervisor I leads daily operations within the Assemble to Order (ATO) department, driving a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for developing team members, optimizing productivity, and ensuring customer quality standards are consistently met. The Supervisor collaborates closely with multi-shift leadership to ensure seamless communication, operational alignment, and execution of production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety
- Promote and model a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety training and reinforce safe work practices
- Identify and address workplace hazards proactively
People Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance and productivity goals
- Enforce company policies and maintain a fair, consistent work environment
- Lead daily communication meetings and drive team engagement
- Motivate employees through clear expectations, feedback, and recognition
- Analyze workflow challenges and implement effective solutions
- Serve as primary trainer for Level 4 Board processes
Quality
- Ensure adherence to established quality standards and customer specifications
- Monitor production output and inspect products for conformance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve consistency
Responsiveness & Operations
- Coordinate with cross-functional supervisors to ensure production flow and on-time delivery
- Estimate labor and material needs to meet production schedules
- Respond quickly to production issues to minimize downtime
Cost & Productivity
- Monitor productivity metrics and hold team accountable to performance targets
- Enforce standardized work procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support lean manufacturing initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform production tasks as needed to support operational demands
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, UKG and Oracle preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
