Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established public accounting firm in Ramsey, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and building lasting client relationships.

The Tax Manager will work closely with firm leadership to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, and individual clients. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Prepare and review tax returns, tax projections, and supporting workpapers.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants.
- Coordinate engagement workflow, budgets, staffing, and project deadlines.
- Research and resolve federal, state, and multi-state tax issues.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance client service.
- Support the implementation and effective use of tax technology and best practices.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure).
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance.
- Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with public accounting tax and accounting software.
