Schedule: Full-time | 60 hours/pay period | 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Pay Range: $16 - $21.50/hour (hourly, non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.Â
As a Van Driver, you’ll provide more than just safe and reliable transportation—you’ll be a trusted companion and a vital connection to community life for our residents. Whether heading out for an appointment or joining a group outing, you’ll ensure every ride is safe, comfortable, and rooted in dignity and respect.
As a Van Driver, you will:Â
- Ensure Safe & Respectful Transportation – Operate a van for up to 14 passengers with care and professionalism. Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain required checklists, and adhere to all company, state, and DOT safety policies and driving regulations.
- Assist Residents with Care & Compassion – Help residents with transfers, operate the wheelchair lift, secure wheelchairs and oxygen, and provide hands-on support to ensure everyone is safely and comfortably transported.
- Maintain Vehicle Readiness – Fuel vehicles prior to use, perform minor cleaning and maintenance, and monitor vehicle condition to keep everything running smoothly. Submit inspection forms and ensure compliance with safety documentation retention standards.Â
- Support Connection & Independence – Drive residents to recreational events, shopping trips, and personal appointments, helping them stay engaged and active in their community. Provide excellent customer service and meaningful conversation during every interaction.

This job also requires:Â
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class “D” Minnesota driver’s license in good standing.Â
- One year of van driving experience with elderly or disabled adults preferred.
- Ability to meet location-specific regulatory requirements, including passing a DOT physical exam and drug screen where required.Â
- Ability to pass state mandated background checks.Â
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.Â
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with team members, residents, and visitors.
