The Project Manager assists in planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through completion. This role supports Senior Project Managers in managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes. The Project Manager interacts with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors to facilitate collaboration and maintain alignment between project goals and organizational priorities. Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, monitoring key milestones, identifying and escalating risks, and supporting communication across internal and external stakeholders.  The role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the management of assigned projects by assisting with scope definition, scheduling, and budget tracking in accordance with contractual and company standards.
  • Coordinates with internal departments and suppliers to ensure deliverables and responsibilities are clearly communicated and executed.
  • Assists with forecasting project costs, timelines, and key milestones. Partners with the Business Development team in preparing project proposals and supporting customer presentations.
  • Contributes to proposal development and supports technical solution discussions under direction of senior project management.
  • Monitors project progress and escalates issues or risks that may impact timelines or deliverables.
  • Supports program direction and coordination across technical and support teams to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Collaborates with functional teams to facilitate information flow and meet project goals. Serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and supports senior project managers with customer communications.
  • Identifies and tracks project risks and dependencies, escalating as necessary for mitigation planning. Develops understanding of regulatory and contractual requirements to ensure compliance within assigned projects.
  • May manage smaller-scale or less complex projects independently, or assist with multiple concurrent programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related discipline preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of pharmaceutical or related industry experience preferred.
  • Requires progressively responsible project coordination experience with exposure to technical or regulated environments.
  • Understanding of customer expectations, project lifecycle management, and operational processes.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and maintain project documentation.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and metrics.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.

CERTIFICATIONS and LICENSES

  • PMP preferred, not required
