Kingdom One is partnering with The Flipside Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, as they prayerfully search for their next Assistant Worship Director.

What if your next ministry role wasn’t simply about leading songs—but about helping people encounter Jesus, developing worship leaders, and building a team that knows they are part of something bigger than themselves?

We’re looking for an Assistant Worship Director who brings together musical excellence, spiritual leadership, creativity, and a genuine love for people.

This is a hands-on ministry role for someone who can step onto a platform and lead worship with authenticity, but who is just as passionate about what happens off the platform—recruiting and developing volunteers, investing in musicians and vocalists, preparing teams spiritually and musically, and helping create environments where people can connect with God.

You won’t simply be filling a position on a worship team. You’ll be helping build the team.

What you’ll get to do:

Lead People Into Worship

• Lead worship during Sunday services as needed.
• Lead worship for youth and young adult gatherings as needed.
• Help oversee and develop the student worship team.
• Plan worship sets in collaboration with church leadership and service themes.
• Lead rehearsals and help ensure teams are spiritually and musically prepared.
• Create, arrange, and upload tracks for rehearsals and services.

Build a Healthy Worship Team

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop musicians and vocalists.
• Schedule worship team members and communicate expectations clearly.
• Spiritually invest in the people you lead—not just the ministry they perform.
• Create a culture where volunteers feel equipped, valued, encouraged, and challenged to grow.
• Help cultivate a team that understands worship as both a platform and a lifestyle.

Bring Organization to Creativity

• Maintain worship plans and service flow details in Planning Center.
• Coordinate worship resources, charts, tracks, and weekly service needs.
• Manage the worship team calendar and scheduling.
• Communicate rehearsal and service details to volunteers.
• Participate in creative planning meetings and anticipate upcoming worship needs.

Collaborate Across the Church

• Partner with pastors, the Experience Team, and other ministry leaders.
• Help translate service themes and vision into meaningful worship experiences.
• Contribute creatively while remaining committed to the larger mission of the church.
• Help maintain musical excellence without losing the authenticity and heart of worship.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for someone who understands that great worship ministry starts with great people ministry. 

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have experience leading worship in a local church setting.
• Are a confident vocalist and proficient on at least one instrument.
• Have experience leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Know how to recruit, motivate, train, and empower others.
• Are comfortable using Planning Center and multitrack/worship planning tools.
• Are organized enough to manage the details behind a great worship experience.
• Communicate clearly and consistently.
• Have a heart for discipling and investing in worship team members.
• Enjoy working collaboratively with pastors, creatives, and ministry leaders.
• Have experience leading worship with youth and/or young adults—or a genuine desire to grow in that area.
