The Production Technician I contributes to a variety of production activities related to the manufacturing, filling, and handling of industrial, medical, and specialty gases. This role fosters a safe and efficient production environment and aligns with all quality and safety standards.

  • Partner with the team to operate, monitor, and maintain gas production and filling equipment, including compressors, pumps, purifiers, and analytical instruments.

  • Fill cylinders according to established procedures, supporting high quality standards through accurate weights, pressures, and product specifications.

  • Perform quality checks on gas products to support purity and compliance with industry standards.

  • Take care of routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on production equipment to help minimize downtime.

  • Prepare and label cylinders for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed.

  • Keep well-organized production records, including fill logs, maintenance records, and safety checklists.

  • Support all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, FDA).

  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Collaborate on inventory management of cylinders and raw materials.

  • Safely and attentively operate forklifts or other material handling equipment.

  • Communicate any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production issues to supervision.

  • Help maintain a clean and organized work area.



 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy cylinders (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment adjustments.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.

  • Some travel required
