Verdantas is seeking a talented Staff Engineer II in Geotechnical to join our team in the Rancho Cucamonga office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that make a real impact on communities and the environment. As part of our collaborative and innovative team, you will contribute to geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis for a variety of infrastructure and development projects. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.

What You'll Do:

Assist in the investigation and design of earthen structures and roadways
Doing field testing, including geotechnical borings, infiltration testing, and potentially fill in for compaction testing on construction projects

Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods
Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports
Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports
Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers
Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills
Occasional out-of-town travel

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Institution with a focus on geotechnical engineering
2-5 years of relevant work experience
CAD experience a plus
Strong calculation skills preferred
The ability to interpret work plans
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed

Salary Range:

$80,000-$92,000
