We are seeking a motivated and service-driven Housekeeping Supervisor to support our Housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the resort. Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily activities of Room Attendants, Housepersons, Public Area Attendants, and Laundry Associates to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet Westin and Marriott brand standards. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, coaching associates, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences through quality assurance and team leadership. Essential Functions Operations and Quality Control Inspect guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with resort cleanliness standards. Monitor room status and coordinate room readiness with the Front Office team. Ensure all housekeeping assignments are completed accurately and efficiently. Identify and communicate maintenance issues, safety concerns, and service deficiencies. Assist with the coordination of daily housekeeping operations and departmental priorities. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, motivate, and support Room Attendants, Housepersons, Public Area Attendants, and Laundry Associates. Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management. Provide ongoing feedback and support associate development and engagement. Conduct daily stand-up meetings and communicate operational updates, VIP arrivals, and special requests. Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. Guest Service Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns. Coordinate service recovery efforts to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensure VIP rooms and special requests are completed according to established standards. Foster positive guest experiences through proactive communication and attention to detail. Inventory & Administrative Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels for linens, amenities, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals. Assist with ordering and maintaining adequate stock levels. Complete departmental paperwork, inspection reports, productivity tracking, and operational documentation. Support payroll, scheduling, attendance tracking, and labor management initiatives. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, Marriott brand requirements, and company policies. Maintain proper chemical handling and storage procedures. Conduct safety observations and correct unsafe conditions. Report accidents, injuries, security concerns, or maintenance issues immediately. Support environmental sustainability initiatives and departmental safety programs. Minimum two years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment. Previous supervisory or leadership experience. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Excellent communication and guest service skills. Must have open availability and the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Marriott, Westin, or luxury resort experience. Knowledge of hospitality systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs, and lifting. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as operational needs require. Work Environment This position operates throughout a luxury resort setting, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, spa facilities, offices, and back-of-house operations.
