The UVM Medical Center, in partnership with The Vermont Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Program (VTEHDI), is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct care to children in educational settings. This role requires on‑site work and is open to applicants residing in Orleans County or nearby communities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing.

  • Teaching and working closely with families, case managers and providers for continued care after evaluation.

  • Demonstrating dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of care.

  • Working within a cooperative team model of care

  • Supporting other SLPs by sharing caseloads and assisting colleagues as the need arises.

  • AAC experience preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Master's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or current eligibility to obtain this certification, is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience with children in a home, school or medical setting strongly preferred.
