What you will do:

Under supervisor of CER management, the Transportation Operator plays a dual role in the organizations’ alternative fuel’s operation and cement manufacturing operation by performing efficient and safe transportation of materials to and from various sites and facilities located in town and assisting with manual labor tasks. This role is primarily responsible for operating commercial vehicles, adhering strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety protocols. Main responsibilities include:
Â
- Transport solid fuel materials between operational facilities
- Loading and unloading materials by operating heavy equipment, manual labor as required.
- Collecting and delivering tires and wood by-products.
- Daily preventative, routine maintenance, and DOT inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic and/or paper records of receiving and delivered inventory.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Other alternative fuels operational duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure quality of work performed, participate in continuous improvement programs, observe and promote best practices, and have good time management skills.

Experience and abilities you will need:
Â
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in industrial environments, waste management, or bulk material transport.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., skid steer, loader, screen, tire shredder, tire debeader)
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition to perform duties, including climbing in and out of trucks, bending, lifting at least 50 lbs kneeling, walking, standing, climbing and securing loads in various weather conditions.
