About the Role

The Front Desk Coordinator is often the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming, organized, and professional experience from arrival through follow-up. This role supports patient check-in, phone coverage, office coordination, communication, and daily administrative workflows at our procedure center.

Key Responsibilities

路 Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and team members in a warm and professional manner.

路 Check in patients, verify demographics, confirm required paperwork, and support accurate patient registration.

路 Answer incoming calls, route messages appropriately, and provide helpful information to callers.

路 Assist with appointment reminders, follow-up outreach, and patient communication as directed.

路 Coordinate transportation needs and communicate updates to the appropriate clinical or administrative team members.

路 Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby, front desk area, and guest restroom presentation.

路 Monitor front office supplies and notify the appropriate team member when items need to be ordered.

路 Support patient service initiatives, office communication, and day-to-day administrative workflows.

路 Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards and VIS policies at all times.

Qualifications

路 High school diploma or equivalent required.

路 Customer-facing experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or professional office environment preferred.

路 Comfort answering multi-line phones, greeting visitors, and managing competing front desk priorities.

路 Experience with scheduling, registration, or electronic medical record systems preferred.

路 Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.

路 Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in a healthcare environment.
