Buyer & Logistics Coordinator (On Site)

Position Summary

This role owns purchasing for Phase Technologies' international purchased-parts category (Red/Green/Sensor components) and serves as the company's primary point of coordination for inbound freight, tariff/HTS compliance, and related logistics administration. The position works closely with Purchasing, Quality, Inventory and Receiving to keep material flowing on schedule and cost-effectively across both domestic and international supply chains.



Key Duties & Responsibilities



Purchased Parts – International (Red/Green/Sensor)

  • Create and manage purchase orders for international purchased-parts suppliers
  • Resolve inventory/receipt variances
  • Review the International Open PO Dashboard and follow up on exceptions
  • Manage push-outs, pull-ins, and cancellations against demand changes
  • Work the Planning Workbench to release and adjust supply
  • Review and process PO changes to price, date, and quantity
  • Maintain master data — lead times, cross-references, preferred vendor, etc.
  • Process vendor VRMAs (returns and credits)
  • Partner with Quality on NCMRs to drive supplier improvement
  • Update production floor regarding part shortages (active work plan) daily
  • Enter supplier quotes into NetSuite



Shipments – Incoming & Outgoing

  • International inbound (LCL/FCL): obtain quotes, award carriers, and schedule shipments; update shipment status; apply freight and tariff costs to inbound shipments
  • Air shipments: compare shipping costs, award and schedule the best-cost option, and apply freight and tariffs to purchase orders
  • Domestic inbound (FTL/LTL): schedule and track shipments; apply freight costs to incoming LTL



Tariff & Trade Compliance

  • Maintain accurate HTS codes and tariff percentages in NetSuite
  • Reconcile HTS code discrepancies between vendor invoices and NetSuite, correcting as needed



Payments & Administration

  • Process DHL payments



Sourcing & Special Projects

  • Request quotes (RFQs) from suppliers as needed
  • Support special projects as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years+ experience in supply chain.
