Job DetailsJob Location: Rawlins, WY 83201 Position Summary Provides an excellent guest lounge experience by serving quality food and creating hand-crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with a focus on superior customer service. Our staff prides itself on providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, and our Food and Beverage team is a significant part of this. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following essential duties may be carried out with or without reasonable accommodation: Verifies age requirements before serving alcoholic beverages and follows other applicable serving laws. Takes food and beverage orders from customers and serves food and drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail. Maximizes the revenue by discussing amenities and upselling all facets of the property. Follows all cleaning, safety, and food service standards of the hotel and of federal, state, and local laws. Mixes beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water sugar, and fruits. Converses with patrons and satisfies requests in a timely manner. Accurately records orders and collects payment; processes related closing paperwork. Maintains a clean and sanitary space. Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor. Follows all policies and procedures. Property-Specific Essential Duties May serve food and beverages to groups during special events. Other Duties and Responsibilities Performed Occasionally Monitors inventory of supplies and prepares orders for approval, checks all deliveries for accuracy, when needed. Unloads boxes of products and stores in designated liquor room in a neat and organized manner. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of common alcohol pairings and taste. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, applicable state and local liquor laws. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, applicable food safety standards and regulations. Demonstratable conversational and customer service skills. Knowledge of legal consumption, overconsumption, and tactful resolution of inebriated guest situations. Able to perform a wide variety of tasks and remain calm during busy/stressful times. Must be self-motivated. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be age 21 or over. General knowledge of chemical safety, bloodborne pathogen safety. Ability to extending arms over head, bending and stooping to perform tasks. Ability to crouch, kneel, and reach to perform tasks. Ability to push and/or pull tables or other furniture weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without assistance. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior food and beverage or catering experience preferred. License or Certification Required Obtain and maintain TIPS training through the designated provider within 90 days of hire. Obtain and maintain applicable food and beverage licenses and certifications.
