Description
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Operation
- Operate and set tools for HAAS CNC lathes and machining centers.
- Execute machine offsets and perform tool changes as required.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and producing parts within required tolerances.
- Troubleshoot tooling or machining issues to ensure part quality.
Blueprint & Measurement Interpretation
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine part dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret basic blueprint dimensions in the metric system.
- Measure parts and verify tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect machined parts using standard inspection equipment at required frequencies.
- Verify part dimensions meet specification requirements before release to the next operation.
- Follow documented inspection procedures, check sheets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Production & Process Execution
- Perform basic math calculations including addition and subtraction of decimals.
- Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
Safety & Work Environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.
- Work safely with cutting oils and in warm shop temperatures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience operating or setting CNC machines (lathe experience preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents using the metric system.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to machining operations.
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of decimals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for 7+ hours per shift.
- Ability to safely work around machining equipment, cutting oils, and shop temperatures typical of a manufacturing      environment.
