Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: IEA Franksville Plant - Franksville, WI 53126Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $26.86 HourlyShift Schedule: 1:30p - 12am (Monday - Thursday)   Job Summary: The Fabrication Lead provides area leadership and direct supervision while serving as the lead worker to Fabrication crew members on shift. The Lead receives limited direction from Operations Manager and Director of Operations develops work plans by combining long-term company strategies with specific assignments and resolves most problems independently.  The Lead is responsible for the quality and quantity of all work in the Fabrication/ Tube Mill area and is expected to follow 6s principles and constantly monitor and help control labor and material costs.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties assigned as necessary: Responsible for on-time completion of manufacturing schedule. Manage workload and make staffing or hours proposals to management. Report on Key Performance Indicators at towers. Work with engineering or submit ECR changes to resolve any drawing and design issues. Works with Methods and Inventory Manager to refine and capture all material and labor requirements. Uphold work rules, assist and counsel employees, and initiate disciplinary measures as needed. Monitors all work-in-progress and spot-checks completed jobs to ensure that specifications are met. Advises Planning and Management on Fabrication area issues or delays. Troubleshoots all Fabrication area equipment and machinery problems; directs repairs. Trains (or oversees training of) all employees to maintain staff proficiency in all area tasks. Create and maintain operating perdures and training rosters. Ensures that work areas, equipment and other tools of the trade are clean and properly maintained. Ensuring manufacturing supplies are maintained. Works in a safe manner at all times, ensures that safety rules are followed without exception and participates fully in any and all Company safety programs. Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to IEA’s ISO and Quality standards. QualificationsPhysical Demands: Maximum lifting requirement (pounds): 100 (infrequently), 50 (frequently). Maintaining physical condition necessary for the following: Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, and twisting upper body; occasional climbing or sitting. Working at heights off the ground up to:  10 feet. Vision requirements: Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception.   Work Environment: Work location: Fabrication Department/Tube Mill and I.E.A facility. Personal protective equipment requirement: Company-supplied, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves and ear protection.   Position Requirements: Key skills, abilities and knowledge:  Ability to communicate and work with others and lead immediate subordinates. Ability to organize and direct work activities in a fast-paced, shop environment. Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of fabrication. Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of fabrication equipment, material characteristics and structural fundamentals. Skill in using and maintaining fabrication equipment and related tools of the machines. Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices. Basic knowledge of PC programs, Excel, Word and Outlook Experiential: Five or more years of fabrication experience, some as a lead/supervisor. Educational: High school diploma or GED.
