Job Summary

The Farm Hand is responsible for maintaining all property/fields under Company control.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Perform repairs on perimeter fencing as necessary.
Report fence and field conditions to General Manager.
Responsible for grass cutting and removal from all other areas.
Operate the Plant Irrigation system at the direction of the General Manager.
Maintain the Center Pivot Irrigation System according to manufacturer's standards or as Company policy dictates.
Responsible for all company farm equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles used.
All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior experience in farming, cultivation, and harvesting of hay.
Experience with hand tools and farming equipment required.
Good working knowledge of minor maintenance of equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma preferred.
Good communication skills both oral and written.
Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task.
Good math skills; multiplication and division of whole numbers.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
Frequently required to move up to 100 lbs.
Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Regularly required to adapt to changing weather conditions; flexibility in changing schedules.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out on plant property with high concentration of time on farm tractor.
