Summary:
This role will be supporting active driver assist system (ADAS) technical experts. This individual will be supporting HILS development of all types including but not limited to ADAS control unit interface signal confirmation, ADAS feature function confirmation, and Vehicle level ADAS feature performance confirmation. This individual will train by recreating currently existing test cases on an existing ADAS HILS bench and will be expected to progress to a point where he/she can create test cases given some basic direction from leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Using existing HILS assets, confirm that signals are being correctly communicated into the ADAS control unit. Confirm signals are being transmitted through the base software layer and to the application layer. Confirm that signals are being correctly propagated into the application layer for use. Assist in developing criteria for judging each signal’s fidelity at each location.
- Using existing HILS assets and hundreds of existing test case definitions, recreate each test case according to the definition on HILS. Confirm the judgement based on the definitions.
- Using existing HILS assets, develop integrated modelling methods used for predicting vehicle level ADAS performance virtually.
- Effectively document and communicate processes to stakeholders. Support process application activities
- Analyze and resolve complex problems with moderate to minimal guidance.
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.
- Travel to client sites is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 7+yrs relevant experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering and 5+yrs years of experience designing Automotive Interiors.
- Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical/Electrical/Software/Controls Engineering Required
- 3+ years’ experience working in a HILS environment
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with Vector Canape/Canalyzer/Canoe
- Experience with Python/C+/VBA
- Experience with Automotive CAN communication
- Experience with IPG Carmaker
- Experience with Co-simulation and integrated real time modelling
- Experience with DSpace HILS equipment including SCALEXIO LabBox, SCALEXIO Customized, and SCLX Processing Unit
- Strong Organizational/Documentation/Report skills
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical guidance to support Senior Management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS office.
