We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive aftermarket. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing, and distributing products for automotive, diesel, and specialty filter markets. We are seeking an Assistant Product Manager – Light Duty Filtration to join our team in Raynham, MA. The Assistant Product Manager will support the management and expansion of our Light Duty Liquid Filtration portfolio, which includes oil filters, fuel filters, and transmission filters for passenger cars and light trucks. This role provides broad exposure to product development, portfolio management, supplier collaboration, and cross-functional coordination within the automotive aftermarket. Position Overview Reporting to the Product Manager, this individual will support the full product lifecycle—from market analysis and product development through launch execution and post-launch performance evaluation. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Working closely with engineering, sourcing, sales, operations, quality, and marketing teams, the Assistant Product Manager will: Support development and launch of oil, fuel, and transmission filter programs across private label and branded portfolios. Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and category reviews to identify product gaps and growth opportunities. Assist in line expansions, assortment optimization, and portfolio management initiatives. Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to ensure products meet performance, durability, efficiency, and application coverage expectations. Benchmark against OE and competitive products to support product positioning. Analyze sales data, profitability metrics, and market trends to support forecasting and business decisions. Prepare materials and data analysis for customer line reviews, quoting exercises, and portfolio presentations. Support resolution of customer inquiries and warranty claims in partnership with quality and engineering teams. Maintain and validate application data, technical specifications, catalog information, and pricing structures. Support additional product and portfolio initiatives as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in product management, engineering, category management, or a related role within the automotive aftermarket preferred. Experience with filtration products or light duty automotive components is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel and related reporting tools. Ability to interpret sales data and market intelligence to support informed decision-making. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capability. Professional working proficiency in English.
