Responsibilities
- Deliver and track all necessary health and safety training for onsite employees and contingent workers and maintain accurate training records
- Identify and ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and company health, safety and environmental policies, including tracking all necessary records and documentation
- Provide functional direction to contracted services
- Establish and grow positive cross-functional relationships with all site teams to gain alignment on strategic priorities
- Partner with a diverse range of vendors to uphold EHS requirements on site
- Assist in the development and implementation of organization wide EHS standards and guidelines
- Develop site-based plans for the implementation and on-going management of global EHS standards
- Build and maintain a site safety environment that engages and involves site leadership and site team members to be active participants
- Manage activities to support day-to-day EHS operations and partner with relevant EHS professionals involved in construction activities to ensure alignment and segregation of responsibilities, as appropriate
- Actively support in incident investigations, root cause analyses and injury case management
- Maintain operational safety programs for the team (electrical glove exchange, fall protection inspections etc.)
- Review site work procedures to assign risk levels and review risk mitigation plans
- Participate in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and make health, safety and environmental recommendations accordingly
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field
- Bachelors degree in safety or health sciences, or related discipline and 4+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field in lieu of 8+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field
- Experience in EHS program management and execution
- Experience in leading or managing incident investigation and mitigation
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field
- Bachelors degree in safety related field
- Experience working in a mission critical environment
- Experience with NFPA 70E, management of federal regulations and/or environmental permitting processes
- EHS certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP) or equivalent international agency
- Experience or understanding of procedure-based work
$145,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
