Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Cost Controls)to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills.Ā

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
Manage overall financial health of projectsĀ
Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedulesĀ
Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliersĀ
Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projectionsĀ
Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoicesĀ
Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billingsĀ
Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partnersĀ
Handle billings, contract management, and change ordersĀ
Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedbackĀ

QUALIFICATIONSĀ
Bachelorās degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceĀ Ā
Minimum six years of related previous experienceĀ
Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projectsĀ
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksĀ
Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesĀ
Preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.Ā
Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelĀ
Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsĀ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesĀ Ā

The base pay range for this role is $113,500 - $170,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL ā 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR ā 10%, Washington, D.C. ā 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualās knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā This position is eligible for Mortensonās incentive plan.Ā
