Chef/ Manager Needed for School Food Service

School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/ Manager in the Reading, Pa area. Full time position, day shift, 8 hours daily. Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. There may be occasional nights for school board catering events. 

K-12 school food service experience is a plus. Must be familiar with high volume catering. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools. Must have proven cooking experience.

ServSafe ® certificate is preferred.

Duties to include:

• Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.
• Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.
• Preparing for Catering events.
• Be sure all safety and cleanliness guidelines are being practiced at all times.
• See the personal protection equipment is being used at all times.
• Food ordering and inventory.
• Must be proficient in various computer software.(Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.)
• Staffing needs.
