What You’ll Do

As a Family Therapist, you will:

  • Meet with clients and their families on a regular bi-weekly basis
  • Runs/co-facilitates therapeutic groups
  • Complies with both internal and external requirements for documentation and associated timelines.
  • Participate in weekly meeting with clinical team for case conceptualization
  • Assists in preparation of treatment plans, court reports, and other clinical documentation.
  • Completes quarterly family assessments.
  • Assists with victim/sibling's reunification, when warranted
  • Assess the status of family involvement and discuss strategies for improvement/relevant attendance with supervisors
  • Aids in the assessment of suitability of family members for discharge consideration
  • Maintains regular contact with juvenile probation officers and/or caseworkers for case coordination.
  • Clinically supervises residents while following program policies and assuring compliance with BARJ principles and best practices within the field.
  • Remains on call after hours for a week at a time, several times a year.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Therapeutic training: Master's Degree required.
  • A License for LPC, LCSW, MFT or supervision toward this end is preferred.
  • Specific training and/or experience with sexual offending population and/or adolescents is preferred.
  • Certificates and Licenses
  • Valid driver's license required
  • One of several clinical licenses preferred

Schedule

• FULL-TIME

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
