Marketing & Communications Specialist — Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Full-Time | Reports to CCO | Brand, Employer Marketing & Strategic Communications

Tell the GTC Story. Build the Brand. Own the Impact.

GTC builds precision aerospace and defense components for programs that demand the best — and we're looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist who can tell that story in a way that turns heads, attracts talent, and strengthens our position in the defense market. This role sits at the intersection of employer brand, corporate communications, business development support, and strategic marketing — and it will grow alongside GTC and Aeron Defense as the organization continues to expand.

If you're a self-motivated communicator who writes sharply, thinks creatively, and can manage a trade show and a press release and a recruiting campaign all in the same week without losing the thread — this is your role.

And through our Ownership For All program, the brand you build here is one you have a personal stake in. Every eligible full-time employee receives an ownership stake in GTC. From day one, you're not just joining a team. You're becoming an owner. Your wins aren't just good for the company. They're good for you.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain, enforce, and evolve corporate brand standards for GTC and Aeron Defense across every channel — presentations, signage, digital assets, templates, business cards, and all external communications
  • Lead employer branding initiatives — developing recruiting materials, managing digital campaigns, coordinating career fairs and community outreach, and positioning GTC as the employer of choice for skilled manufacturing talent
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing marketing materials including capability statements, presentations, fact sheets, brochures, and case studies that support Business Development and executive communications
  • Coordinate external marketing vendors — agencies, graphic designers, web developers, photographers, printers, and promotional suppliers — keeping every deliverable on brand and on deadline
  • Plan and coordinate trade shows, manufacturing expos, career fairs, and company-sponsored events from start to finish
  • Manage media relationships, coordinate press releases, interviews, video production, and photography, and drive public relations activities that strengthen GTC's market reputation
  • Keep company websites and social media platforms current, accurate, and aligned with company messaging — maintaining a well-organized library of approved digital assets
  • Support the development and management of the annual marketing plan and budget, track campaign effectiveness, and recommend improvements that sharpen results
  • Maintain industry association relationships and coordinate memberships, sponsorships, and participation
  • Provide backup support to the Business Development Analyst including marketing analysis, reporting, and data management

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related business function
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills — you communicate professionally and persuasively with internal teams and external audiences alike
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with the ability to produce executive-level materials
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design and content creation tools
  • Experience managing corporate websites and social media using CMS platforms
  • Strong project coordination skills — you manage multiple priorities, hit deadlines, and stay organized when the pace picks up
  • Self-motivated, creative, and intellectually curious — you work independently and collaborate just as well across departments
  • Sound judgment, high discretion, and the professionalism to represent GTC in front of customers, media, and community partners
  • Experience supporting a B2B manufacturing, industrial, or aerospace/defense organization is preferred
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Why GTC

A marketing role with genuine strategic scope — you won't be executing someone else's playbook, you'll be helping write it. Visibility across the entire organization, from the shop floor to the C-suite. Work that supports a growing defense and aerospace manufacturer with big ambitions and the programs to back them up. A creative, high-impact function that will expand as Aeron Defense grows. And through Ownership For All, a real stake in the brand you're building from day one. You're not just the Marketing & Communications Specialist here. You're an owner.

GTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V. All applicants are considered based on experience and knowledge, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, marital status, disability, or veteran status. We are committed to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
