The Children's Home of Reading (CHOR) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our residential treatment team. Schedule

Full-Time
Flexible schedule with participation in an on-call rotation providing telephone triage support.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care to children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting.
  • Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, vision, and specialty healthcare services.
  • Complete nursing assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation.
  • Monitor and communicate medication changes and healthcare updates to treatment teams.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, direct care staff, and families to support treatment goals.
  • Promote infection control, medication management, and health and safety standards.
  • Support emergency response procedures and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with staff education related to health, wellness, and medication administration.

Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, pediatrics, mental health, or working with children and adolescents preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must meet all required clearances and licensing requirements.
