Job Description:

About the Role

The Inside Sales Intern will gain exposure to branch-level customers and contribute to delivering a best-in-class customer experience for Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about customer service, communication, and supporting sales operations. The intern will assist with quoting, customer communication, order accuracy, and day-to-day support for Inside Sales Representatives and the Key Account Manager. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn inside sales operations within a global manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with team members to support B and C level customer branch accounts within a region
• Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives and Key Account Managers on daily activities and customer follow-up
• Learn and understand key performance indicators that measure inside sales effectiveness
• Assist in analyzing performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Support development of key account plans and strategies to achieve growth targets while maintaining margins
• Participate in managing commercial activities for key non-distribution accounts
• Assist with quoting, customer communication, and order-related documentation
• Verify pricing and order data to ensure accuracy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with branch and purchasing personnel
• Ensure timely responses to customer questions and concerns to support an exceptional customer experience
• Collaborate with Senior Inside Sales Representatives on escalations when needed
• Support multiple locations including Reading, Scranton, Delmont PA, Fort Wayne IN, Wytheville VA, and Stockton CA
• Approximately 5 percent travel required

• Ability to present information to varied audiences including technical and purchasing personnel
• Critical thinking skills with a focus on providing solutions
• Strong listening skills and ability to provide customer-focused support
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
