This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll perform service upgrades, meter relocations, and electrical work that supports residential solar installations. What You’ll Do

  • Perform electrical service upgrades and panel replacements.
  • Complete utility meter relocations and electrical modifications.
  • Install wiring, conduit, disconnects, and other solar-related electrical components.
  • Support installation teams with electrical connections for solar systems.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC and local electrical code requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues during installation and service work.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
  • Document completed work with photos and job notes.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and team members.

Equipment You’ll Use

  • Electrical testing tools (multimeters, etc.)
  • Hand and power tools
  • Conduit bending and installation tools
  • Ladders, fall protection, and safety equipment
  • Company vehicle for travel between job sites

A Typical Day

  • Start your day reviewing job assignments with your team
  • Travel to residential job sites
  • Perform panel upgrades, meter relocations, and electrical installations
  • Support solar installation teams with system connections
  • Ensure all work meets code and safety standards
  • Document your work and prepare for the next job

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Electrical License preferred but not required (Journeyman, Master, or local equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience in residential electrical work
  • Solar experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work outdoors and on rooftops when needed
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly
  • Strong attention to safety and quality
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
