Tehama County Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Temporary General Laborer to join our team in Red Bluff, CA!
This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The schedule will be Wednesday - Sunday 8AM - 4:30PM with occasional overtime. Starting pay will be $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greeting and directing customers at the self-haul pad.
Sorting out recyclables and electronics from loads.
Picking up loose trash throughout the site.
Heavy lifting throughout shift.
Traffic management.
Working outside in all weather conditions.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;Â heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate heavy equipment and larger vehicles.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
