This position operates forklifts to move materials while coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring customer-specific shipping requirements are met. The role serves as a key link between warehouse operations, customer service, and transportation providers to support safe, efficient, and accurate deliveries. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, stage, and transport materials throughout the facility. Coordinate and oversee daily inbound and outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established delivery schedules. Serve as the primary liaison between customers, transportation providers, and internal departments to coordinate shipment schedules, resolve logistical issues, and maintain effective communication throughout the shipping process. Manage transportation scheduling for customer pickups, over-the-road carriers, and parcel carriers while balancing production schedules, carrier availability, and customer requirements to support on-time delivery. Partner with Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse teams to align production readiness, inventory availability, and shipping priorities to meet customer commitments. Maintain accountability for shipping documentation and customer-specific shipping requirements, including bills of lading, parcel documentation, labeling requirements, and shipping records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support warehouse operations through the safe operation of powered industrial equipment to move, stage, load, and unload materials in support of shipping and production activities. Monitor shipping performance and proactively address delivery risks, scheduling conflicts, and service issues by communicating with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to minimize disruptions. Promote a safe, organized, and efficient shipping operation by maintaining compliance with company policies, quality standards, and all applicable safety procedures. Special projects and assignments as business dictates. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. 4-6 years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred. Previous forklift experience required. Experience coordinating shipments with parcel and LTL/OTR carriers preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have attention to detail and focused concentration. Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently. Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow. Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands to handle materials and office equipment. Regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying noise levels. Hearing protection required in production areas.
