What You'll Do

As a Machinist, you will:

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture precision components
  • Load, verify, and adjust machine programs
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
  • Measure parts using:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gauges
    • Bore gauges
    • Dial indicators
    • Other precision inspection equipment
  • Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tight tolerances
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic machine maintenance
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace utilizing 5S principles
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and production personnel
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of machining experience or completion of a 2-year technical machining program
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code
  • Understanding of tooling selection, feeds, and speeds
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred

Experience with:

  • CNC machine setup
  • Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar controls
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • CAM-generated programs
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Continuous Improvement initiatives

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
